William H. "Bill" Lee, 73, passed away October 12, 2021. Bill was born June 26, 1948 in Independence, MO to Russell and Mary Lee.
Bill attended high school at Southwest High School in Kansas City, Missouri. Then shortly after returning home from duty, Bill graduated from University of Missouri Kansas City with a bachelor's degree in Business.
Bill served with the 101st Airborne unit of the US Army during the Vietnam war, where he earned a Bronze Star for heroic service. He took so much pride in his time serving this country that he loved.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard Lee. Survivors include his wife, Deborah Lee; children, Cara Long (Corey), Scott Lee (Amy), Jennifer Dean (Rick) and Alana Dean (Brandon); his grandchildren, Connor Dickson, Tyler Long, Cadan Dickson, Ayla Lee and Logan Lee; sisters, Sandi Marisdotter (Steve Nickel) and Barb Lee.
Bill loved to spend time with his family. He adored his children and grandchildren. He was a great husband, father and an exceptional "papa". He enjoyed traveling across the United States with his wife. He also liked his country music, his trucks and taking his family shooting. It was important to him that his family know how to safely use guns. He especially enjoyed working with his hands. Whether he was crafting a fine piece of furniture, remodeling, or simply just fixing anything that needed fixing, he was exceptional.
The life lessons he taught as well as the skills he honed and passed down to his family will be forever cherished. He is dearly missed.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 pm Sunday, October 17th at Muehlebach Funeral Care, 6800 Troost Ave, Kansas City, MO.
