Webb Green Jr, 84, was born to Beluah and Webb Green, Sr. on April 12, 1934 in Nettleton, Mississippi. He was the youngest of seven children all of whom preceded him in death as well.He moved to Kansas City in 1955. He met and married Marjorie Sutherlin in 1956. To this union, four children were born, Ronald, Vauncille (Anthony), Lionel (Detrice), and Gwendolyn. They are a very close family all still living in the Kansas City area. Through the years, may titles could be attached to his name husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend. He took each of these roles very serious.Webb enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and family; spoiling his grandkids. When they were young, he picked them up from school each day and entertained them (or was entertained by them) until their parents returned from work.He worked at Kansas City Poster Printing Co. from his arrival in Kansas City until his retirement in 1997. He passed his work ethic on to his children. They have all been committed to long term tenure at their respective jobs.Webb departed this life on March 10, 2020.In addition to his wife and four children, he leaves 4 grandchildren, Marli, Thaddeus, Jared, and Lorna along with a host of other family and friends. He will be remembered as a super hero who wore bib overalls instead of a cape.
