Virginia M. (Bonino) Geraci

Virginia M. (Bonino) Geraci, age 85, of Kansas City, MO, passed away with her daughter (Leanne Hall) by her side on December 19, 2025, at her daughter’s home in Lone Jack, MO.

Virginia was born in Kansas City to Antonio Bonino and Virginia (Solito) Bonino. She attended Assumption Catholic Grade School, graduated from St. Teresa’s Academy in 1957, as well as the college of St. Teresa’s. It was at Websters University where she received her Master’s Degree in Education.

She began teaching at Blessed Sacrament School, St. Peter’s Catholic School, and was a substitute teacher for preschools, Hickman Mills and Center School districts, all while raising her children. Virginia later went back to full time teaching at Truman Elementary in the Hickman Mills School district until her retirement.

Virginia was a long-time member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, the Ladies of Charity, Helping Hands, a funeral luncheon coordinator, and a volunteer at One City Café, Thelma’s Kitchen, and the Uplift Organization.

She is survived by her children, and seven grandchildren: Joseph Michael & James W. Geraci, James & Cody Hall, John Anthony. Samuel Joseph and Isabella Geraci; along with her two brothers, Newton & Joseph Bonino.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:30am on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11822 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO. There will be a luncheon following the service. The burial will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery after the luncheon around 2:00pm.
