Steven R. Elliott

Steve Elliott, 67, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away from cancer on May 23, 2017. Visitation will be at St. Peters Catholic Church, 701 E. Meyer Blvd, KCMO, on Friday, May 26th from 5:30 to 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10am on Saturday, May 27th. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Theresa Little Flower Senior Services, 5814 Euclid Ave, KCMO 64130. Steve was born on August 30, 1949 to Lloyd and Vivian (Rice) Elliott in Greensburg, Kansas, where he lived until he graduated from Greensburg High School. His baccalaureate degree was from the University of Kansas and his MBA was from the University of Missouri Kansas City. The majority of Steves career was as a Branch Manager of White and White Commercial Insurance in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Little did Steve realize that when he hired Walter Pugil he would marry Walters daughter, Barbara. Steve and Barbara were married in the Bahamas on March 17, 1989. After retirement, Steve and Barbara enjoyed traveling, sailing, zip lining, geocaching, and camping in their 1976 GMC motorhome. Steve especially enjoyed the companionship of his dog, Pongo, who predeceased Steve by two years.
His parents preceded Steve in death, and his wife, Barbara, and sister, Linda Fegley, are his survivors. Condolences may be addressed to the family at www.muehlebachchapel.com.
