Steve Nunez

Steve Nunez, 58, of Kansas City, passed peacefully on December 22, 2018 in the comfort of his home. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 4th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Muehlebach Funeral Care, 6800 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO 64131. Memorial donations may be made to the Steve Nunez Memorial Fund c/o Muehlebach Funeral Care.
Steve was born on January 8, 1960 in Kansas City, to his parents Francis Eugene Nunez and Christine (Gillispie) Nunez. He was one of two children, having one sister. Steve spent his life in Kansas City. He attended Bancroft Elementary and Westport High School. Steve was a jack-of-all-trades, but a master of a few. He was a diesel mechanic for Deffenbaugh Disposal Company. Steve also had a career in heavy construction, and he was a proud member of the Local 663 for many years.
Fishing, gardening, and working on cars, were a few of his favorite things, but nothing came close to his grandchildrenall of whom he loved dearly (especially the granddaughters who had Papa wrapped around their fingers!) Steve would enjoy every minute with his family, and he is deeply missed by them.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 22+ years, Linda Trygg; sons Jason Nunez (Kaylee), Jonathan Nunez, James Trygg, Jeremey Nunez, Robert Trygg (Jessica), Josh Nunez (Darah), Jacob Nunez, and Kolton Harper; his only daughter Sarah Nunez; his beloved grandchildren, Hayle, Maddieson and Lilly Trygg, Wyatt Nunez, Jase Nunez, Malachi Nunez, and Micah Nunez; and sister Vickie Duggan (Stan); as well as many dear friends and family.
