Stanley O. Ukpan, a devoted Marine, a beloved father, treasured son, adored brother, and a man of unwavering kindness and integrity, passed away on May 26, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born on August 1, 1987, in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, Stanley carried with him a life marked by honorable service, heartfelt compassion, and a relentless dedication to those he loved.
Stanley's journey was one defined by his profound commitment to serving others. As a proud United States Marine Corps Corporal, he distinguished himself as an expert marksman, a testament to his discipline and skill. His completion of basic training was not merely a milestone but a foundation for a life lived with honor and valor. Stanley lived humbly, always prioritizing the well-being of his family, choosing to live below his means to ensure they were cared for. His honorable discharge marked the close of a chapter filled with sacrifice and pride, leaving behind a legacy of dedication to country and family alike.
He was a man whose heart was as vast as his spirit. Described by those who knew him as kind-hearted, selfless, and compassionate, Stanley’s generosity and willingness to help anyone in need endeared him deeply to family and friends. He was a gentle soul who bore no ill will, treating everyone with respect and genuine kindness. As a loyal friend and wonderful brother, his embrace conveyed warmth and unconditional love, and his words often highlighted the greater good in any situation.
Stanley’s pride as a father was unparalleled. He cherished every moment with his daughter, Natasha, whom he welcomed into the world with immense joy and love—an accomplishment he regarded as his greatest. His love for Natasha revealed a deeply emotional side of a man who, as a Marine, rarely showed such vulnerability. He delighted in talking about her, letting his rare displays of emotion shine through, a testament to the depth of his affection.
Beyond his military service and family life, Stanley was a man of diverse interests and passions. He held a special fondness for military video games that featured Navy Seals, reflecting his admiration for men and women serving in the armed forces. A lover of learning, he pursued new languages avidly, and his commitment to helping the poor reflected the generous spirit by which he lived. He also enjoyed watching classic western action movies, a hobby that spoke to his appreciation for stories of bravery and resilience. Additionally, Stanley found joy in music, growing up listening to iconic rap artists such as Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Tupac, and Biggie. Family and friends fondly recall his quirky, humorous attempts at freestyling—moments that showcased the genuine and endearingly goofy man behind the uniform.
Stanley was also an entrepreneur at heart, embracing his individuality and creating a brand known as Big Hed. This venture was a reflection of his confidence, creativity, and willingness to stand out, a celebration of the man he proudly was. Stanley O. Ukpan leaves behind a profound impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Natasha Ukpan; mother Florence Ukpan; brothers Godsent Ukpan, Steven Ukpan, Horaleo Ukpan, Odis Ukpan and Emmanuel Egbadon.
Stanley's legacy endures in the hearts of those he loved and in the memories of his best friends and family members. The strength of his character, his devotion to service, and his genuine compassion are woven into the fabric of every life he touched. He is reunited in Heaven with his brother Eremosele Ukpan and father Stephen Ukpan.
