Roy Edward McConnell

Roy Edward McConnell, 84, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri passed away on October 25, 2023, at the Pleasant Hill Health Center.  Ed, as he was known to friends and family was born on November 20, 1938, in Kansas City, Missouri, a son of Carl and Edna (Eib) McConnell.  Ed lived most of his life in Kansas City, Missouri before moving to Pleasant Hill in 2013.  Ed attended East High School in Kansas City and graduated in 1958.  Ed worked at National Belle Hess, The Kansas City police tow lot and Ace Tube Co.  Ed loved to shoot pool, enjoyed bowling, watching Nascar racing, playing cards, watching old western tv shows and western movies.  Ed was not a veteran, but he spent a lot of his time helping and working at the V.F.W. Post in Kansas City, Missouri.  Ed was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his brother, Marvin McConnell of Edwards, MO.  His brother; John Landess and wife Sharon of Shawnee, Kansas.  Nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
