Rosemary Cannon Kilker July 5, 1929 – October 25, 2026

Rosemary Cannon Kilker of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on October 25, 2026, at the age of 97.

Born July 5, 1929, to John J. Cannon and Theresa (née Divine) Cannon, Rosemary was the youngest of five girls, joining her sisters Charlotte O’Malley, Theresa Vandover, Marie Gargotta, and Thecla Prostrollo. Though she was the youngest, she loved her sisters deeply and cared for each of them throughout their lives.

Rosemary was a registered nurse who earned her Master’s degree in Nursing and taught future nurses. Her expertise and passion were in obstetrics and gynecology, a field she pursued with great dedication throughout her career.

In 1968, she married the love of her life, Robert Kilker. They shared 40 years of marriage until his passing in 2008.

She is survived by her nephews, John T. Vandover Jr. and Jim Prostrollo, and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; and her sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 21 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Parish, 1001 E. 52nd Street, KCMO 64110. Visitation will be held prior to Mass at 9:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
