Rose R. Drummond

Rose R. Drummond, 85, of Kansas City, MO, passed away April 30, 2018. A rosary will be prayed at 9 a.m., Saturday May 5th, at Christ the King Church, 8510 Wornall Rd, Kansas City, MO followed by visitation and Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Christ the King Food Pantry or the Alzheimers Association.
Rose was born August 30, 1932 in Pilot Grove, MO to Walter and Margaret Kempf. She was a graduate of Pilot Grove High School and spent most of her life in Kansas City, MO. She worked as a teller and loan officer at First Federal Savings and Loan. Rose was a member of Christ the King Church where she volunteered at the church food pantry. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing bridge and Scrabble.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bernard Drummond, a sister, Margaret Parton, brothers, Maurice and Dale Kempf, as well as a granddaughter, Sarah Drummond. She is survived by her sons, Mark Drummond and wife JoAnn, Jamie Drummond and wife Vickie, and Ken Drummond and wife Kris, her grandchildren, Katie, Danny, Alexis, Andie, and Ally, and siblings, Dennis Kempf, Carol Kempf, Dorothy Bailey, Gary Kempf, Kathy Jones, and Cheryl Kempf. The family would like to express their gratitude to the many caregivers that helped and supported Rose through her journey.
