Rose Ann Cono

Rose Ann Cono, age 97, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away in the comfort of her home on Saturday, June 2nd, 2018. A Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6th, with the Rosary prayed at 11:30 a.m. at Muehlebach Funeral Care, 6800 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. Following the Rosary, the burial will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, Missouri 64138. Rose was born on July 14, 1920 in Kansas City to her parents, Anthony Callia and Angelina (Bengimina) Callia. She spent her whole life in Kansas City. It was in grade school that she met the love of her life, Carl Cono. They married and started their family together, having four children. Rose made their house a home, and she took care of everyone and everything. She enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family. Rose especially loved having all her family over on Sunday's for dinner when her grandchildren were growing up. She enjoyed welcoming extended family and friends into her home as she hosted holiday dinners. Rose always made sure everyone was well fed.She is preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Angelina; husband, Carl; daughter, Leah Mae Thompson; and son-in-law, Ross Capps. Rose is survived by her very large and loving family: her children; daughter, Angela Cono-Capps; son and daughter-in-law, Vincent and Susie Cono; daughter, Carol Cono; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; as well as many other family members and friends.
