Ronald Paul Rupp

December 15, 1934 — June 5, 2021

Family and friends are mourning the unexpected death of a great Patriot and a man who truly loved and lived life to the fullest.
Ron Rupp was born in Hays, Kansas and graduated from St. Joseph's Military Academy in 1953. He joined the Army in 1957 and enjoyed his 2 years of service at Fort Ord in Monterey, California. Upon being honorably discharged, he chose a career as a banker in Kansas City. After his banking success, he opened a successful property management firm with his wife Marie of 44 years that at its height managed over 150 properties across Kansas City.

Ron had an unflappable and calm temperament through all the trials and tribulations of life. He was an active church and community leader at his local parish the Coronation of our Lady. He was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Member, served on many community boards and was very active in the Landlord's Association. His Christian ideals of compassion and generosity were always on display as he went out of his way to help those in need whether it was a tenant late on their rent or someone going through a difficult time.
Ron was the rare soul who found success in all aspects of his life and assumed the role of patriarch for his large immediate and extended family. Ron brought a kind and loving infectious laugh and smile to all whom he met. He was famous for all the events, parties and games he would routinely organize for family, friends and church patrons and was likely one of Jack Stacks best customers! He also loved cars and upon his passing, had six vehicles that he proudly took care of. He enjoyed ballroom dancing, traveling, and taking many road-trips with friends and family especially to Branson where he visited most recently and enjoyed shows and activities.

He was a devoted husband and father survived by his wife Marie, his daughter Susan Rupp and her husband Darius Fattahipour and seven brothers and sisters: Shirley Rupp, Connie Wallace, Fred and Alicia Rupp, Bernie and Dottie Rupp, Marlene McGuire, Mary and Mike McNamara, Larry and Marq Rupp. He was the "fun" uncle to many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins. He coached his daughters softball team for 10 years and was a loyal life-long Royals and KC Chiefs fan. At the age of 85, he was thrilled to attend the Chief's 2020 Super Bowl victory in Miami, FL with his daughter Susan.

Rons love for his family, friends and parishioners was unquestioned and he always opened his home to visitors who needed a temporary place to stay. He was preceded in death by his parents, Conrad and Zita Rupp; brother Stan Rupp, brother in-law Marvin Rupp, nephew Stephen Rupp and niece Donna Rupp Melichar. He is forever in our hearts.
