With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of our beloved Dad, loving Grandfather, and dear friend, Ronald J. Enfranca. Ron passed away on September 15, 2025, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO.
All services will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8510 Wornall Rd, Kansas City, MO, on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. The Visitation will begin at 9am, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10am. Interment following at Calvary Cemetery in Kansas City.
Ron was born in Kansas City, MO, on August 30, 1943, to his parents John G. Enfranca and Dorothy (Kellar) Enfranca. He graduated from De LeSalle Military Academy in 1960. Following his graduation, Ron continued his military career with three years of active duty in the United States Army and was honorably discharged from the Reserves in July of 1967.
On October 8, 1966, Ron married the love of his life, Marcia McAntire, and together they had over 50 years of love, friendship, and a beautiful life until her passing in April of 2020. From their union they also had three daughters: Kathleen, Gina, and Julia.
Ron kept on with his service to his country, state, and community by joining the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department, where he eventually “retired” from. We say “retired” because following his “retirement”, Ron then became a Cass County Reserve Sheriff’s Deputy for another ten years until his actual retirement.
There were many groups Ron devoted his time and energy to, as he was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, the Benedictine Oblates, the World Apostolates of Fatima (Blue Army), a Eucharistic Minister and Parishioner at Christ the King Catholic Church, Life Member of the National Rifle Association, was a 4th Degree Knight from the O’Hara Council 4387 Knights of Columbus, roles including Past Grand Knight, Past Faithful Navigator, and former District Deputy, was a Life Member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, and a Life Member of the American Legion.
Ron loved to tell jokes, enjoyed outdoor cooking and barbequing for his friends and family, along with playing the guitar and loved a variety of music.
He is survived by and deeply missed by his children: Kathleen Enfranca and partner Don Mull, Gina Enfranca and husband John Bennetts, and Julia Pitt; his grandson, Keegan Nash; sister Marsha Paul and husband James; nephew John Paul and wife Kim; niece Marisa Garris and partner Vince Haeberle; along with many beloved friends and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made be made to: Benedictine Mission House, PO Box 528, Schuyler, NE 68661-0528 and/or St. Joseph's Indian School, PO Box 100, Chamberlain, SD 57325.
