Robert Scott 'Bob' Keil

Robert Scott "Bob" Keil, 91, passed away July 9, 2018 at John Knox Village House in Lees Summit, MO. He was born in Ft. Scott, KS on June 4, 1927 to Gladys and Joseph Keil, and raised in Garnett, KS.
Upon graduating from Garnett High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy during WWII, serving in the Philippines. Upon his discharge from the U.S. Navy, Bob graduated from Emporia State Teachers College. He worked for Fairmont Foods (country club dairy) for 32 years, retiring in 1984. Bob married Bernadine Bader on June 5, 1954 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in KCMO, being married for 64 years. Their union was blessed with two daughters. They made their home and raised their daughters in Kansas City. Upon retirement, they moved east of Lone Jack, MO.
His passion for hunting and fishing took him to many states in the Midwest, Colorado, Wyoming, Canada and every annual vacation.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Gladys Keil; and a brother, Joseph W. Keil (Martha) of Midland, Michigan.
He is survived by his wife, Bernadine; his two daughters, Terri Hampton (David), and Karen Brown (Mike); granddaughters, Jennifer and Kimberly Brown; step-grandson, Christopher Hampton (Katie).
The Rosary will be prayed at 9:45 a.m., with Visitation following, and Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church, 130 N.W. Murray Rd., Lees Summit, MO on Thursday, July 12th at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kansas City, MO following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations to Catholic Charities and the Our Lady of the Presentation Parish.
