Robert Meunier

Robert J. Meunier Sr.,92, passed away February 9, 2021. Visitation will be Saturday March 6, 2021, at 9:00 a.m., followed by the funeral Mass at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1800 MO 150, Lee's Summit, MO 64082. Burial following at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please donate to Little Sisters of the Poor, KC or Conception Abbey.
Bob was born and raised in Kansas City, MO attending St. Elizabeth Grade School and Rockhurst High School. He was self employed as a manufacturer's representative in plumbing supplies until his retirement. He was an Army Veteran and received the Army of Occupation Medal Japan WW II Victory medal. He truly was of "the greatest generation." He then went on to graduate from Notre Dame with a business degree. He loved Notre Dame and never missed watching a football game. He was an avid golfer all of his life. He use to joke that at the age of 80 he still had a score less than his age after golfing 18 holes. He has left us with his great sense of humor.
He was predeceased by his wife and "soulmate" Julia K. Meunier. His father J.C.Meunier and mother Lucy (Hudson) Meunier. Brother Gene Meunier. Grandson Andrew Dusselier. He is survived by a sister Mary Lou Farrell and brother Joe Meunier; children Carol Meunier, Jeannie Dusselier (Pat), and Bob Meunier. Grandchildren Bob Dusselier (Christen) and Lauren Dusselier Tierney (Chris); Great-Grandchildren Evey and Drew Dusselier, Greer and Schull Tierney. Step children Bart, Bill, Elizabeth, Leslie, and Gina.
