Robert Gene Downey

Robert Gene Downey, age 80, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away at Autumn Terrace Health and Rehabilitation in Raytown, Missouri on June 19, 2018. All services will be held on Monday, June 25th at Muehlebach Funeral Care, 6800 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with Funeral Service following at 11:00 a.m.
Robert was born in Kansas City to his parents, John and Gertrude (Bradley) Downey. He was one of two children, having one brother, William. Robert spent his whole life in Kansas City. He received his high school diploma and worked as a custodian at St. Lukes Plaza Hospital for many dedicated years.
Robert is proceeded in death by his parents, John and Gertrude and his brother, William Downey. He is survived by his friend and Pastor, Marvin Mayfield and his wife, Patricia Mayfield, who was also Roberts personal caregiver; along with his Faith Tabernacle Church family and friends.
