Bob McNamara, 84, of Kansas City, MO passed away peacefully at his home on July 9, 2026. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 2 E. 75th Street, Kansas City, MO 64114. Prior to the Mass, a recitation of the Rosary will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Following the funeral service, inurnment will take place at Mount Olivet Cemetery, located at 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64138. All are invited to return to St. Elizabeth’s for a luncheon.

Bob was born February 25, 1942, the son of Hugh F. and Mary Teresa (Brennan) McNamara, in Kansas City, MO. After high school at Bishop Hogan, where he was a Catholic League All-Star basketball player, he went on to work at TWA for many years. While working, he attended college classes at night. After graduating, he served as an accountant in numerous capacities. Bob enjoyed caring for his brother, Jerry; golfing; researching family genealogy; and spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Tom, Hugh, Mike, and Jerry, and sister Margaret Crimmins. He is survived by his sister, Rita Gromowsky, and his brother, Dave. There are a multitude of nieces and nephews who fondly remember Uncle Bob.
