Robert Anthony Schmitz

Robert Anthony Schmitz, 89, of Kansas City, MO passed away at his home on Dec. 25. He was born on May 23, 1929 in St. Joseph, MO to Francis Joseph and Alice Elizabeth (Branham) Schmitz. He graduated from De La Salle High School in 1947 and served in the Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jeanne, six siblings and their spouses. He is survived by his close friend, ZoAnn McConchie and six children: sons, Steve, Brad (Cindy), and Guy and daughters, Jane (Craig) Horn, Peggy Armstrong, Vicky Darby. Eight grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and his sister, Margie Strobl (Hank, deceased). Private family inurnment. Memorials may be given to The American Cancer Society.
