Rita L. Vancamp

Rita L. VanCamp, 95, passed away December 24, 2014. Visitation will be held from 11:00am-12:00pm Tuesday, December 30th at St. Thomas More Church, 11822 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Crossroads Hospice.

Rita was born December 27, 1918 in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from Our Lady of Sorrows grade school and Westport High School. Rita was a member of St. Thomas More and More Friends. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, bowling and puzzles. Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent J. VanCamp, Sr.; a son, Edward VanCamp; a sister, Kathryn "Kaye" Ann Sheall. She is survived by a son, Vincent J. VanCamp, Jr. and wife Ruth; daughter, Gloria Meyers and husband Thomas; 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Rita will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
