Richard L. Murkin

Richard Murkin, 78, of Rayotwn, MO, passed away February 24, 2015. A Visitation will be held Friday, February 27, from 10:00 am -11:00 am followed by the funeral service at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64131. Interment will be at Brooking Cemetery in Raytown.

Richard "Corky" was born January 15, 1937 to Benjamin Murkin and Mary (Hancock) Murkin. He worked as an iron worker for Local Union #10 until his retirement. He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and two brothers. He leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Kathryn Murkin, his son, Chris Murkin and wife Janice, daughter, Lisa Holt and husband Don, son, Scott Murkin, grandsons; Ryan, Richard, and Reed Murkin, as well as one great grandchild with another one on the way.
