Remy H. Blanchaert

Remy H. Blanchaert, 84, of Kansas City, MO, passed away at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics on August 21, 2021. Remy was born on January 18, 1937, in Kansas City, MO, to Jeremie and Alida Blanchaert. He proudly served his country as a typist in the Army. After, Remy worked as a cutter in the garment industry for many years. He then went on to develop a second career manufacturing and installing stain glass windows.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife of 40 years, Alice Norretta (Cowger) Blanchaert. He is survived by his children, Sue (Randy) Sinele, Dr. Remy (Jamie) Blanchaert Jr.; grandchildren, Rebecca (Dallas) Terry, Jeremy (Chelsea Jaggard) Sinele, Remy H. Blanchaert III, Reed Blanchaert; and great-grandchildren, Parker Terry and Lillian Terry.
A rosary will be prayed at 9 am, Saturday, August 28th at St. Patricks Church, 1357 NE 42nd Terrace, Kansas City, MO 64116, followed by visitation and Catholic Mass at 11 am. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to Arbor Day Society, 211 N 12th Street Lincoln, NE 68508, or Eco-Friendly Memorial Trees, a link can be found to the left side of Remys obituary page. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
