Raymond F. Limbach, 87, passed away on August 25, 2021. Raymond was born on February 17, 1934 in Marys Home, MO. Marys Home is 25 miles south of Jefferson City in the northern area of the Ozarks located on the Osage River. He grew up on a farm with his parents, Bertha M. and Adolph H. Limbach, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters. He attended a one-room school named Sanning School and Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church.
He moved to Raytown, MO where he met his wife, Marilyn, at the local roller-skating rink. Ray and Marilyn were married on November 29, 1958 at St. Anns Catholic Church in Prairie Village, KS.
He served in the US Army from 1956-1962.
He was introduced to the lithography trade by his father-in-law and retired in 1994 as head pressman from Gemaco Playing Card Company.
He attended St. Catherine of Siena Parish for 50+ years and was active in the Knights of Columbus. You could always find him ushering even when it wasnt his assigned Sunday. His passions included hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening. All the grandkids adored their Papa and fought to sit next to him!
Raymond is survived by his children: Maureen Johnson, Dennis Limbach (Jeanne), and Beth Hoven (Scott).
Grandchildren: Crystal Becker (Brandon), Denny Limbach, Tara Limbach, Christina Moss (Austin), Amanda Myers (Brett), Nicole Johnson, Ryan Gill (Francesca), LeAnn Keck (Chris), Marah Guastello (Carl), Chris Hoven (Kayla), Aaron Hoven (Kesten), and Jennifer Mills (Jordan).
Great-grandchildren: Cooper Limbach, Charles Raymond Becker, Lane Myers, Sophia, Kymber, and Emelia Keck, Gianna and Salvatore Gill, Gia Guastello, Jaxon and Rylee Hoven, Carter and Cameron Hoven, Jaiden Thom, Landon and Kaia Mills.
Sister: Alice Limbach.
Raymond was preceded in death by his wife: Marilyn, brothers: Warren Limbach, Norman Limbach, Adolph Jr. Limbach, Clarence Limbach, and sister: Gladys Redden.
Private family services are being held.
