Phillip Gregg Moore, affectionately known as Gregg, beloved brother and loyal friend, passed away on July 24, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri. Born on February 6, 1955, in Kansas City, Kansas, Gregg’s remarkable journey is filled with strong bonds, unwavering dedication, and a spirit of generosity that helped so many.

Known for his loyalty and genuine concern for others, Gregg’s friendships were deep and enduring. He approached life with the philosophy that a stranger was just a friend you hadn’t met yet, and this belief echoed through the countless relationships he built over the years. Those who knew him recall his habit of beginning stories with, “Let me tell you about my friend…”, “My friend does…”, or “My friend can do…” It was a testament to how much he valued the people in his life, always eager to celebrate their talents and kindness.

Gregg’s professional and personal life was marked by a dignified and steadfast demeanor. Whether at work or at home, he maintained a sense of professionalism and integrity. His many years working at the municipal court were among his proudest accomplishments, where his commitment to justice and service earned him the respect of colleagues and community members alike.

Outside of work, Gregg was passionate about making a difference in the world. He dedicated much of his time to volunteering for a variety of charities, with a special focus on supporting homeless veterans and people in need. He never waited to be asked for help. More often than not, he was already by your side, ready to offer his support.

An avid reader with a deep love for Ancient History and classic detective novels, Gregg always had a strong sense of intellectual curiosity. He delighted in attending concerts, plays, and movies, embracing all forms of the arts. His appreciation for culture and storytelling enriched not only his own life but also the lives of those who shared these experiences with him.

Gregg is survived by his brothers Brian Moore and Michael Moore, who mourn the loss of a steadfast and devoted sibling. Gregg’s absence will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by his kindness and friendship.

A Visitation in honor of Phillip Gregg Moore will be held on August 5, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a Rosary prayed at 5:30 p.m. at Muehlebach Funeral Care, 6800 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64131. The Graveside service will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 6th at Forest Hill Calvary Cemetery. Friends and loved ones are invited to join in remembering a man whose generosity, intellect, and warmth left a mark on the community.

Though Gregg is no longer with us, his legacy of friendship, compassion, and service endures. His memory will be cherished, and his impact will not be forgotten.
