Nancy Reddig, age 76, of Kansas City, MO, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on May 2, 2025. All services will be on Wednesday, May 7th at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 815 E. Meyer Blvd, Kansas City, MO. Visitation will begin at 11am, with Mass of Christian Burial at 12pm. There will be a luncheon after Mass, with the burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery following. Memorial contributions may be given to Birthright or St Peter’s Parish in memory of Nancy.
Nancy was born August 11, 1948, the daughter of Richard and Mary Putthoff. They lived in Kansas City, KS. She attended St. Anthony’s grade school, Bishop Ward High School and then St. Mary’s College. She worked as a Medical Technologist (which was renamed as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist) for many years including 40 years at Children’s Mercy Hospital. Nancy married Tom Reddig in 1973, who proceeded her in death. They had one child, Robert. Robert and his wife Katie have 4 children: Mary Ann, Rose, Peter and Margaret, whom were all deeply loved by their Grandma Nancy. She is also survived by her brother Ernie with his wife Marilyn and their 4 children with spouses and grandchildren, and her sister-in-law Marina with her husband Charlie, their 3 children with their spouses and grandchildren.
Nancy enjoyed working many years at Children’s Mercy Hospital and the many friendships she developed there. She had numerous friend groups including a long-standing bridge group. Nancy volunteered for many organizations including Birthright and St Peter’s Parish, being on the RCIA team for many years. She enjoyed traveling, including many cruises and her pilgrimage trip to the Holy Land. And she loved being around family, sharing in life.
