Mildred L. 'Billie' O'Brien

Billie of Kansas City, Mo was called home to Heaven and took her place in amongst the angels.
She was born February 3, 1922 in Kansas City, Mo., and was a graduate of Southeast High School.
From 1942 to 1958 she was an employee of the Federal Government as an accounting clerk.
She worked in War Assets, General Services, and the Small Business Administration.
From 1970 to 1978 she worked for Champion Turf Equipment Inc., in the accounting department.
Billie was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Kansas City, Mo.
She was involved with the Women of Christ the King Church, World Apostolate of Fatima, BPO Does Drove No74 with the Elks Lodge No 26, Kansas City, Mo., and TOPs MO No 206 of Kansas City.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents, Archie E. Long and Agnes Vondell Long, and her beloved husband of 52 years, Robert L. OBrien. She was also preceded in death by her brother Roy A. Long, Sisters Agatha Ellis, Mary Dowd, Madge Ellinger, Mabel Dockman, and Archa Hanlon.
She is survived by her two sons, Larry OBrien and his wife Maria, Shawn OBrien and his wife Eileen.
She also leaves eight grandchildren, Keenan, Shelby, Shane, John, Rosemaria, Alana, Caitlynn, PJ, and three great grandchildren, Teagan, Bella and Lynlee. She was greeted in heaven by her great grandbaby, Max. Billie was very devoted to her faith in the Lord and the Blessed Mother.
She dedicated her life to caring for her family and anyone she came in contact with. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. The Visitation and Rosary will be May 24th at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost, Kansas City, MO from 5:30 to 8:00pm, beginning with the Rosary at 5:30pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on May 25th at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8510 Wornall Road Kansas City Mo, at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Raytown, Mo.
