Michael J. Chiappetta

May 11, 1941 — September 9, 2021

Michael John Chiappetta passed away September 9th, 2021 at the age of 80. Mike was born to Rose and Marco Chiappetta May 11, 1941 and was a lifelong resident of 6649 Locust St. Mike is survived by his sister, Carmeline C Dickhaus of Nashville, Tennessee, cousins, nieces, nephews, and devoted lifelong friends. Mike was fondly known by his friends as "Chips". Mike was a graduate of St. Peters grade school, Rockhurst High School, and Rockhurst University. He served in the US Air Force reserves 1963-69. From the earliest days of little league baseball, Mike became a lifelong fan of the Kansas City Royals. He spoke often of the Plumbers Local #8 and the Joe Nolen CUBS 3/2 league teams which he coached. Mike was employed for many years in beverage sales.
Funeral services are as follows: Greetings of friends will be held at St. Peters Catholic Church 10-11 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow. Luncheon will be served in the Narthex after Mass. Burial Service will be held at Calvary cemetery 6908 Troost Ave. at 2 PM.
