Mary I. 'Mimi' Quinn

August 31, 1931 — April 5, 2019

Mary Irene "Mimi" Quinn, age 87, of Kansas City, Missouri, went to heaven on April 5, 2019, in the comfort of her home with her family around her. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Mimi's life on Tuesday, April 9th at Cure of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Rd., Leawood, Kansas 66206, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Burial held at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Adair, Missouri.
Mimi was born on August 31, 1931, in Marceline, Missouri, to her parents, Dale and Irene Quinn. She was the youngest of three children, having two older brothers whom she loved dearly and always looked after her. Mimi graduated from Brookfield High School in 1949. She also received the lovely honor of being Miss Brookfield the following year.
Mimi had a long and successful career as a legal secretary for Standard Oil Company, where she retired from. She was a member of Redemptorist Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Irene; and her two older brothers and their wives, John Charles Quinn (Marie) and Donald J. Quinn (Victoria). Mimi leaves behind eight nieces and nephews, twenty-eight great nieces and nephews, and four great-great nieces and nephews.
Mary loved taking walks, feeding the birds, playing the piano, and was an avid bowler. She was passionate about her pets, including Honey, Feisty, and Elvis. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Catholic Charities as well as the Sisters Servants of Mary for their incredible assistance in this difficult time for the family. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Unleashed Pet Rescue, 5918 Broadmoor Street, Mission, Kansas 66202, in honor of Mimi.
