Mary Anne Haggerty

Mary Anne Haggerty, 74, of Lee's Summit, Missouri, passed away July 1, 2025.

The following was written in her own words:

I, Mary Anne Armstrong Haggerty, was born August 15, 1950 in Washington D.C. to JB and Anne Armstrong who were loving and caring parents. I had 2 wonderful brothers, Jack 1940-1978 and Terry 1943-1957, whom taught me how to appreciate my health and a regular life, since they both had cerebral palsy. In 1971, I married Jim Haggerty, my high school sweetheart and soulmate. I fell in love with him at sixteen and he will be my love for eternity. We were blessed with 3 wonderful children, Sean, Erin and Ryan whom made our lives complete. Luckily, they married wonderful spouses, Angela, Matt and Molly and together blessed us with 5 amazing grandchildren. Tyler, Elizabeth, Jack, Liam and Norah. What a gift you were to Memaw. I became a reg. nurse in 1972 and retired in 2015 which consisted of 43 years spent mostly in pediatrics. Taking care of sick children was very rewarding to me.

I also want to thank all my wonderful friends, who became my family when at the age of 35, I lost my childhood family.
