Mary Ann Rockers

Mary Ann Rockers, 88, died April 17, 2021 at her home. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 21, 1932. Her parents and younger brother settled in Kansas City, Missouri where she attended Lillis High School. She worked for an insurance company until she married her loving husband, Gene on January 16, 1954. They were married 59 years before the death of her husband in 2013.
All who knew Mary Ann enjoyed her sassy personality. She was a dedicated homemaker her entire life except when she stepped out in the 70s to teach disco dancing! She was a devout Catholic, volunteering and being a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish for over 50 years. She loved spending time with her family and cleaning her house. We have very fond memories of her from Sunday family dinners, cheese sauce and cookies, her gorgeous yard, and her zest for life. She was the best Wife, Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma EVER!
She is preceded in death by her parents Dan and Mary Scanlon, and her husband Gene Rockers. She is survived by: her son Mike; daughters Kathy Crellin (Mike), Linda Bouler (Rob); grandchildren Kristin McGee (Scott), Jenny McKinzie (Brandon), Jesse Bouler, (Hannah), Jamie Winslow (Brad); great-grandchildren Joseph McGee, Madison and Lucas McKinzie; brother Dan Scanlon (Lynnie).
Funeral services will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 4101 E. 105th Terrace, Kansas City, MO 64137, on Thursday. April 22, 2021. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30-11:00am, followed by a Catholic Funeral Mass and Burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Boulevard, Raytown, MO 64138.
