Mary peacefully passed on, with children at her side, from COVID complications. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and moved with her husband Joe, to Kansas City, Missouri, in 2001. She spent her life being positive, spreading cheer with her wonderful sense of humor, to her cherished family and friends. She valued and encouraged every one of her family members and was a fierce prayer-warrior for them. Mary loved being with her family and her family loved being with her. Her volunteer activities included hospitals, jail visits, and Church. Her 88 years of life were devoted to serving others.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joe, parents Irene and Arthur Knoll, and brother Arthur, Jr. She was the proud mother of Ann Kennedy (Jen Degen), Julie Lynch (Bill), Joe and John Kennedy, Kathy Wilbur (Mike), and fun grandmother of William, Jonny, and Katie Lynch, Mary, Sarah, Joe, and Peter Wilbur. Mary is also survived by brothers Bob and Tom Knoll (Sheila) and sister Pat Costigan (Bob).
Due to COVID concerns, the funeral Mass will be limited to family. Please keep Mary and her family in your prayers. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Mother of Good Counsel Home at mogch.org/.mogch/.
