Martha Gene "Gier" Welch

Martha Gene “Gier” Welch was born May 6,1926 and passed away February 18, 2023. Funeral services will be held at Lee’s Summit Christian Church, 800 NE Tudor Rd. Lee’s Summit, MO 64086, on Saturday, March 11 at 11:00am.

Preceded in death by parents, Dr. Gordon G. Brown, Chloe Lentell, daughter Gayle Gene, husband Donald C. Welch, son Dennis Gene Bernhart, and son-in-law Richard Findley.

Gene is survived by her daughter Terry Findley, daughter-in-law Charlene Bernhart, granddaughter Danielle (Robert) Crawford, great grandchildren Nico Mundo and Nina (Braden) Smith, and great-great granddaughters Stormi and Sophia Smith.

She is also survived by Don’s five children: Stacye (Jean Marc) du Mouchel, David (Delia) Welch, Kelly Chuma, Craig (Vicki) Welch, Richard (Denise) Welch, as well as 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
