Marilyn Sue Shaw

Marilyn Sue Shaw, 83, passed away December 11, 2021. A memorial service will be 2:00 pm Thursday, December 30th at Muehlebach Funeral Care, 6800 Troost Ave., Kansas City, MO 64131. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Childrens Mercy Hospital.
Marilyn was born October 19, 1938 in Newark, Ohio to Henry R. and Ruth E. (Major) Hogendobler. Marilyn graduated from KU in education and married Jerry Shaw in 1961. She taught 2nd grade at Antioch School, then Learning Disabilities at Child World and then teaching adults at Concord Career Institute. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry Shaw, and her sister, Linda Schmidt. She is survived by her children, Karen Lott and husband Nick Rafanan, Michael H. Shaw and wife Susan; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Shaw and Jessica Lott.
