Peggy was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on July 30, 1938 to her parents, Bert Walters and Margaret (Joergens) Walters. She was one of five children, being the only girl, and having four brothersall of whom were very protective over their sister. Peggy grew up in Kansas City. She attended Our Lady of Sorrows grade school, graduated from Loretto High School, and took classes at Avila University. She became a Mrs. in June of 1959 when she married her best friend and love of her life, Charles M. Gosselin, Sr. They had met three years prior at a USO Dance in Kansas City. It only took Charles six months to call up Peggy for a date, and then began their story...
Peggy and Charles had four children, three daughters and one son. Peggys full-time job was taking care of and successfully raising their children, as well as Charles and an assortment of dogs and cats. She was also an expert seamstress; making first communion dresses for her daughters and all other types of clothing for her kids. Peggy enjoyed needlepoint too. Above all, Peggys favorite thing was spending time with her family. She was a beloved wife, dear mother, and adored grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Margaret, and her brothers, John and Jim Walters. Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Charles M. Gosselin, Sr.; daughter Teresa Medina (Frank), daughter Cathy Coffman (Keith), son Charlie Gosselin, Jr. (Joan); daughter Mary Carter (Michael); brother Bert Walters, Jr. (Toni); brother Tom Walters (Kathy); grandchildren Lauren, Michael, Maddy and Angie Medina, Connor and Bryan Coffman, Chaz and Chase Gosselin, Makenzie and Dariyah Carter; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
