Luke Lobb, 60, of Leawood, KS passed away on July 22, 2026, surrounded by his family. All services will be held at Luke's long-time parish, St. Thomas Church, 11822 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO. The Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, August 4th, with Visitation following until 8:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 5th. The burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice House or MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Luke was born on January 21, 1966, the seventh child of Howard and Mary Ellen Lobb. He attended Redemptorist Grade School and then continued his education at Rockhurst High School where he met his lifelong friends and golf buddies. He went on to study communications at UMKC where he was a Lambda Chi Alpha. After college Luke decided to spend several years in Steamboat Springs, CO, where he enjoyed the outdoors and became manager at F.M. Lights. Upon his arrival back in Kansas City, he began working with his brother Joe at IPAC Adhesives and within a month, met his future wife Julie. Three years later, they married and had two beautiful daughters, Mary and Lucy. While raising his daughters, Luke became the ultimate girl dad. There was nothing more important to Luke than spending time with his family. He also enjoyed playing golf, cracking jokes, and completing the tasks assigned to him by Julie. He was also known as the late night uber driver for the KU Kappas, class of 2025.

Just three years prior to his cancer diagnosis, Luke made the brave decision to start his own company. Transload Kansas City was not only very successful during his tenure but was a great source of pride for Luke. His professional success paled in comparison to the pride he felt for his seven and a half years of sobriety. Luke never knew a stranger and collected friends wherever he went. From the workers at Costco, to random beachgoers in Vero Beach, FL, Luke’s kindness and acts of service will be remembered by everyone he encountered.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Mary Ellen (Topp) Lobb, sister, Amy Lobb, sister Jesse Lobb, and sister-in-law, Trish Lobb, nephew Matthew Joseph Lobb.

He is survived by his wife Julie, daughter Mary Sutton (Tucker) and Lucy; two brothers: Joe, Chris (Teresa) of Kansas City and three sisters: Mary Margaret Lobb Draughon (Webb), Seabrook, TX; Teresa Walker (Mark) Emory, TX and Cynthia Paul (Tim) Altamonte Springs, FL. Also, many beloved nieces and nephews.
