Lois Ann Shinkle

Lois Ann Shinkle, 94, of Independence, MO, peacefully passed away April 17, 2021, in her home, surrounded by her family. A rosary and Celebration of Life Mass will be held at St Francis Xavier Church, 1001 E. 52nd St., on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 12:00 pm. Inurnment will be at Forest Hill Calvary Cemetery, 6901 Troost, following the Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to St Francis Xavier Church.
Lois was born to Kathryn and Charles Reece on October 3, 1926, in Kansas City, MO. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, and their son, David. Lois was a Marine. She is survived by her children, Susie (Martin), Linda (Frank), Tim, Cathy (Dave), 13 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
We thank Katlin from Lumicare Hospice, who so lovingly cared for her during her illness. We are forever grateful for Mom's unending love and generosity. Mom, we will love you and miss you every day for the rest of our lives.
