Mass of Christian Burial will be livestreamed by Church of the Nativity
Laura C. Caulfield, 77, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025, surrounded by her family.
A Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 23, at the Church of the Nativity, 3800 W. 119th St., Leawood, KS, followed by visitation and the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Lenexa, KS.

Laura was born on October 26, 1947, in Lawrence, Kansas. She grew up on Strawberry Hill and attended St. Anthony’s Grade School and Bishop Ward High School, where she was Valedictorian of her class. She went on to earn a degree in Business from the University of Saint Mary and began her career as a computer programmer.
After marrying John and starting a family, Laura devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother, daughter, friend, and volunteer. A founding and active member of the Church of the Nativity, she found deep joy in her faith community. Laura was an avid reader and an enthusiastic bridge player. She also had a beautiful singing voice, which she shared often with her family and friends.
Laura is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, John Caulfield; her daughters Patty Dahm and husband Pete Dahm, Susie Summers and husband Chris Summers, and Lori Caulfield; and her cherished grandchildren Maisie and Harry Dahm, and May and Jack Summers.
Forever welcoming and inclusive, Laura had more friends than could ever be counted. Her Bible studies, book clubs, bridge groups, Breakfast Ladies, and beloved cul-de-sac neighbors will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marie and Adrian Dinges, her brother Fred Dinges and sister-in-law Marilyn Bockelman. She is survived by her brothers Ed (Bev) and Ted (Patty) Dinges and sisters-in-law Ruthie Dinges and Janice Brown.
