Krystyna Wisniewski

Krystyna Wisniewski, 90, passed away December 8, 2017. A visitation will be held Monday, December 18th, from 9:30 to 10:30 am followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Presentation Catholic Church, 130 NW Murray Rd., Lees Summit, MO 64081. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Nature Conservancy, 4245 N. Fairfax Dr., Suite 100, Arlington, VA 22203 or Doctors Without Borders 333 Seventh Ave, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10001. Krystyna was born July 24, 1927 in Lodz, Poland to Roman and Zophia Chmielewska. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Chester Wisniewski, and also by her sister and her parents. She is survived by two children, Alexandra Jones of Kansas City, Missouri, and George (Martha) Wisniewski of Odessa, Missouri. She also has four grandchildren, Tammy Judy of Lenexa, Kansas, Michael (Christy) Wisniewski of Lees Summit, Missouri, Cpt. Thomas Adam (Meredith) Wisniewski of Springfield, Missouri, and Dr. Denis (Jana) Wisniewski of Columbia, Missouri. She also has six great grandchildren. Krystyna came to the United States as a displaced person in 1951. She worked for Luce Co., Neevil Manufacturing and Fabri-Quilt. She was an incredible seamstress. Mom, Babchia we will miss you and love you always.
