Kenneth G. Willinger, 90, went to be with the Lord, May 7, 2020 at Brighton Gardens, Prairie Village, Ks, his home for 11yrs.
Ken was born May 30, 1929 on a farm near Hudson, Ks to Frank and Ollie Florence Clarke Willinger. Early yrs. were in Hutchinson, Ks relocating to Wichita in 1941. His schooling was completed partly at Planeview, and finally at East High in 1947. From employment at Boeing Airplane Co., he was drafted into the U.S. Army, March 1951 (during the Korean War). Term of service was completed in March 1953 at Kansas City, MO. He was employed at Bendix /Honeywell for more than 38 yrs., in the metrology dept. Kens first work was testing materials, then to calibration and last to being a procedure writer, retiring in October 1993.
His early church membership was Red Bridge Christian Church until 1973, after which he attended the Mission Road Bible Church, serving as treasurer for many years.
He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Frank had five brothers: Charles, Joe, Henry, August and Jacob, and six sisters: Mary, Katherine, Martha, Tilda (Tillie), Josephine and Grace. Ollie had three brothers: Wayne, Fred (Fritz), and Dave, and, three sisters: Dora, Mollie and Elma. He is survived by cousins, Eva Cox Allard, Lyons, Ks, Ernesteen Delker, John Delker of Aurora, Mo., Lily & Don Quirk, Arvada, Co., Jerry & Anita Clarke, Marilyn Clarke Sherman, Hutchinson, Ks, Darlene & Bruce Olgesbee, Palatka, Fl, Bill & Elaine Kreie, Ulysses, Ks, Shirley Fisher, St. John, Ks , Phyliss Gill, Sylvia, Ks, Larry Willinger, Flora Vista, New Mexico, Merwin and Lenna Fry, Bella Vista, Arkansas, Janet & Phyll McGonigle, Nickerson, Ks, Dan Cox, Denver, Co.
A private memorial service will be Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Muehlebach Funeral Chapel, Kansas City, Mo. Burial at Salem Community Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Nickerson, Ks. Memorials may be made to Alzheimers Research Foundation in care of the funeral Home.
