Karen L. Johnson, born January 12, 1948, passed away February 16, 2026. Karen was a loving and devoted mother, grandma, aunt, cousin, friend, and confidant to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed. She had a smile that could light up a room and was a friend to everyone she met.

Karen is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Houston; her husband, David J. Johnson; her sister, D. Elaine Tooley; her brothers, Michael Houston and Lynn Houston; her grandmother, Leota Cain; and 3 nephews.

She is survived by her children, Kelly Harrison, Monica Houston, Renee Houston, Victoria Houston, Christopher Houston, and Matthew Houston; her grandchildren, Quentin Cotner, Dakota Cotner, Paige Rooker, and Alexis Paden; as well as nieces and nephews, her surrogate sisters, Leslie Strum and Mary Fisher, and countless friends.

She will be missed, loved, and remembered for her wit and the joy she brought to others.
