June Powell

June Powell, 94, of Kansas City, MO passed away April 18, 2020. She was born July 24, 1925, to Fred and Carolyn Wiebers and grew up in Ricketts, Iowa. She was confirmed into the Lutheran faith in 1938. June graduated from Charter Oak High School, Charter Oak, Iowa. She moved to Kansas City in 1945. She worked for the Federal Aviation Administration until her retirement in 1981.
June was a resident of Brookdale Wornall Place, and an active member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
June was a cat lover, and enjoyed playing playing cards, especially bridge with her friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph, brothers, Kenneth LeRoy Wiebers and Douglas Grant Wiebers and sister, Carol Diane Wiebers. She is survived by many cousins and friends including Betty Freeman and Mary Gratham, who provided loving care and assistance for many years.
