Josephine Cisetti

Josephine Cisetti, 90, of Kansas City, Missouri, died on August 7, 2014. She was born on September 11, 1923 in Kansas City, the daughter of Ignazio and Frances (Aleshi) Mannino.

She is survived by two sons, John D. Cisetti and his wife, Veronica of Belton, and The Reverend Joseph I. Cisetti of Kansas City; three grandchildren, Catherine, Steven and his wife, Ashley, and Mary; three sisters: Vincenzana Bartasi, Frances Saladino, and Gloria Hoedl. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of fifty-six years, Joseph Cisetti.

Josephine graduated from the University of Kansas City and upon her graduation began to teach in the Kansas City Public Schools; a work she continued for forty years. In 1953 she earned a master?s degree in education from Teachers College of Columbia University, New York City. She was a longtime member of St. Thomas More Parish.



Visitation will be on Monday, August 11th from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost, Kansas City, Missouri. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:30. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Thomas More Parish, 11822 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri, on Tuesday, August 12th at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery following Mass.
