John 'Jay' C. Hoferer

John C. "Jay" Hoferer, 73, passed away February 23, 2018 at KU Medical Center. Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00 am Tuesday, February 27th at St. Elizabeth Church, 2 West 75th St, Kansas City, MO 64114 followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Elizabeth Church.
John was born January 18, 1945 to Melvin and Louise Hoferer. He spent his career as a Registered Nurse, serving his community and caring for others at St. Lukes Plaza Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Kathy Hoferer; son, Dominic Hoferer and wife Annie; brother, Paul R. Hoferer and wife Jeanne; sisters, LouAnne Hartman and husband John, Mary Sue Sixta and husband Bob.
