John J. Maschek

John J. Maschek, 93, of Kansas City, MO, passed away peacefully on Oct 10, 2014 surrounded by his family.

The rosary will be prayed 10:00am, Friday Oct 17th at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11822 Holmes Rd, KC, MO, followed by visitation until 12Noon. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following the visitation at 12Noon. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

John was a devout Catholic and was very active at St. Thomas More where he shared his time, talents, and treasures. Family was most important to John; he was so proud of his family and loved being with them.

John was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Anna Marie (Mickey), his brother Gilbert, and his close friend, Alberta Imming. He is survived by five children; Joe (Vera), Anita (Wally), Jan, Tom (Debbie), and Karen (Dan), ten grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

Much appreciation to the staff at Villa Ventura and Crossroads Hospice for their care of John and his family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Thomas More or the American Heart Association.
