John F. Norton

John F. Norton, 76, passed away November 28, 2018 at his residence. Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:00 am Thursday, December 6th at St. Thomas More Church, 11822 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Veterans Community Project, 8900 Troost Ave, Kansas City, MO 64131.
John was born October 12, 1942 in Kansas City, MO to John F. and Catherine (Sitterman) Norton. He attended Redemptorist grade school, De La Salle Military Academy and was a graduate of UMKC. John served in the US Army during Vietnam. He retired as a traffic controller for Southern California Edison. John was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Tavernaro and husband Ron; a nephew and four nieces; 17 great nieces and nephews and a great great niece.
