John D. Cox

John D. “J.C.” Cox, 61, passed away on September 7, 2022. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 12th at 10am at First Baptist Church of Peculiar, 216 E. Broadway St., Peculiar, MO 64078 with Funeral Services following at 11am. Interment will be at Floral Hills Cemetery. Interment will be 12:00pm Tuesday at Floral Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Sarah Cannon Cancer Center, 2316 E. Meyer Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64132

John was born December 7, 1960 in Independence, MO to Harry R. and Melodee. John worked as a service manager at Napelton Automotive Group in St. Louis, MO. John had a love for motorcycles, fishing, horticulture and gardening, and was a member of the AmVets, DeSoto, MO.

John was preceded in death by his father, Harry R. Cox; a sister, Brenda E. Ems, and a brother, Steve Cox. Survivors include his children, Daniel Cox, Rachael Braud, and Brandon Cox; his parents, Melodee and Jerry Brady; grandchildren, Logan Cox and Jaxson John Braud; step-sister, Donna Phelps; step-brother, Allen Brady; step-grandchildren, Logan, Kaylee and Noah Lyons.
