Jo Ann Burke

Jo Ann Burke, 76, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on August 14, 2020.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents Lt. Col. Joseph and Rose Cassidy. She leaves
behind a brother, Dennis Cassidy, her daughter Monique Burke-Blow and husband Tim, and 3
adoring grandchildren Chloe Burke, Alexis Blow and Zachary Blow. She also leaves behind
some wonderful lifelong friends Kay, Chris, Sharon, Penny, Sandy, and too many others to
mention.
Being an army brat, she was fortunate to have lived in many cities in the U.S. as well as
Germany and Japan. The family returned to Kansas City where has lived since.
Jo Ann retired from St. Lukes Hospital after almost 40 years of service. She worked as a
phlebotomist. After retirement she worked part time and volunteered at Little Sisters of The
Poor. She found great pleasure there volunteering in the coffee shop.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Saturday, August 29th at St. John Francis Regis Church, 8941 James A. Reed Rd, Kansas City, MO followed by interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
