Jesse Medina

July 29, 1929 — March 8, 2024

This man. Our Father.

Jesse Medina Sr. Died last Friday March 8th, 2024, at Ignite rehab in Kansas City, after a one week stay in St. Joseph’s Hospital with fluid on his lung due to his kidney dialysis.

In life, we were a force, he never met anyone he didn’t like. Mentored many thru the years, young and old.

It was an honor to take care of him for the last six months in Kansas City and Atlanta, he and I left nothing unsaid the last few weeks of his life. Despite only an 8th grade education wiser than most.

He gave our family everything we needed while he worked 3 jobs.

My father while in the marines was an undefeated boxer for 3 years, a tough hombre!

My mother was the disciplinary force for us due to that fact (lucky me, cause I was always acting out).

Leaves wife Lorenza Medina of Atlanta, GA. Sister Lupe of Kansas City, Missouri.

Military burial at Leavenworth National Cemetery. KS. Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 12:30pm. “Siempre Fidelis” “Once a Marine Always a Marine”!

Please note:

Anyone can attend the burial, as a VA burial is a touching tribute to the Marine. It is heartwarming as it shows “The Family” of veterans and their common goal to protect us in times of peace and war and death.
