Jerry Clayton Taylor, 79, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2019 with his loving family at his side. Jerry was born on October 22, 1940 in Springfield, MO and raised in Kansas City. He attended Pembroke Hill School and Kansas City Business College. After college, he enlisted in the US Marine Corps Reserves. In 1967, he married Janet McCullough Taylor, and soon after they welcomed daughter, Catherine, and son, John. They became members of St. Elizabeth Parish, where the children attended school. Jerry worked for 30 years in management and 20 years in sales, where he formed close, professional and personal, relationships. Jerry was a good man who loved his children and, especially, his grandchildren. He was kind to all and loyal to his friends. And, he loved nothing more than a good game of golf. Jerry leaves his wife of 52 years, Janet, his children, Catherine Taylor, and John (Jennifer) Taylor, and his beloved grandchildren: Meaghan, Emily, Molly, Matthew, Anna and Cate Coble and Jack and Jane Taylor. He also leaves his brother, Lewis (Anna) Eaton and sister, Trudy (John) Cook, and many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. The Visitation will be held from 10:00am. to 11:00am. on Wednesday, December 4 at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, 2 East 75th Street, Kansas City, MO with a Memorial Mass at 11:00am. The family requests memorial contributions to Rockhurst High School or Avila University.
