Jay Nicholas Wright, 56, of Lees Summit, Missouri, passed away April 23, 2022, at homesurrounded by his loving family. All who knew Jay were touched by his kindness, hilarious senseof humor and his devotion to family.Jay was born December 6, 1965, in St. Louis, Missouri, to James and Alice (Eldred) Wright. Theyoungest of five children, he grew up in Kansas City. Jay proudly served in the Army from 1987to 1991, achieving the rank of sergeant. He particularly valued his time serving in Germany.Following his military service, he built a successful career as an electrical journeyman andelectrical project manager, and ultimately, managing complex manufacturing and fabricationprojects for Genesys Systems Integrator.More than siblings, Jay and his brothers were best friends. The Wright boys long enjoyedvacationing at the Lake of the Ozarks and thats where he met the love of his life, Holly Snyder.Jay and Holly were married in Kansas City in 1999. In 2002, they were blessed by the birth oftheir son, Brennan. Being a father was among the greatest joys of Jays life. Jay enjoyedcoaching Brennans baseball and soccer teams, boating, bicycling, traveling and spending timeat home with his family and trusty Lucky Dog.Jay is survived by his loving wife Holly, son Brennan, siblings Jim (Teresa), John, Jeff (Laura), andJessica. Jay had a quick wit, earnest smile and generous spirit that his friends, family andbusiness associates already miss.Interment with military honors will take place Friday, April 29 th at 2:00 p.m., Mt. Olivet CatholicCemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, followed by a celebration of Jays life from 5:30to 7:00 p.m., 11710 NW Chipman Rd., Lees Summit. Family, friends and caregivers arewelcome to attend.Memorial contributions may be made in Jays name to Kansas City Hospice Palliative Care,https://www.kchospice.org/donation/, and/or The University of Kansas Cancer Center,https://www.kucancercenter.org/give
