James William Ryan

James William Ryan, 80, passed away September 18, 2018. The rosary will be prayed at 7 pm Sunday, September 23rd at St. Michael the Archangel Parish, 14251 Nall Ave, Leawood, KS followed by visitation until 8:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am, Monday at St. Michael the Archangel Church. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Little Sisters of the Poor.
Jim was born September 20, 1937 in Kansas City, KS to Patrick J. and Mary Ellen (Flynn) Ryan. He graduated from De LaSalle High School and Rockhurst College. Jim served in the Army National Guard. He worked as the CFO of Royce Electronics. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mary Ryan; sons, James Joseph Ryan and wife Frances Ann, Kevin Thomas Ryan and wife Angela Renea, and John Patrick Ryan; grandchildren, Jacob William Ryan, Faith Anna Ryan, Alec Lloyd Ryan, Joshua Michael Ryan and Colin Nathaniel Ryan; a brother, John Michael Ryan and wife Barbara; sister, Joan Theresa Jordan; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Patrick Joseph Ryan and sister, Mary Ellen Ryan.
