James E. Flynn

James E. Flynn, 76, passed away January 14, 2019. Visitation will be held from 10-11:00 am Friday, January 18th at St. Thomas More Church, 11822 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Private interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions to Parkinsons Foundation of the Heartland, 8900 State Line Rd, Leawood, KS 66206.
James was born October 27, 1942 in Kansas City, MO to Ed and Peggy Flynn. Jim was a successful National & Regional manager for two National food companies, Lever Brothers & Sara Lee, before starting his long time successful Flynn Food Brokerage Company. Jim was a long time member and past President of the Kansas City Allied Food Club. Jim is survived by his wife, Sharon Flynn; sons, Mike Flynn and wife Anne, Brian Flynn and wife Susie; grandchildren, Jack, Shannon, Kari, Billy and Elle Flynn; a brother, Mike Flynn and wife Cathy; several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Danny Flynn.
